Newly appointed Trade Principal Secretary Alfred K’Ombudo has pledged to work closely with all stakeholders to build Kenya’s economy through enhanced trade locally, regionally and internationally.
Terming trade as an ‘important artery for Kenya’s economic development’ the PS said a lot can be achieved through networking and close collaboration with Staff and external stakeholders.
He was speaking immediately after he took over office from Ambassador Johnson Weru in a ceremony witnessed by the State Department’s heads of Agencies and Departments in his TelPosta Towers 18th floor office boardroom.
PS K’Ombudo thanked his predecessor for the warm reception and briefing on the state
of affairs at the State Department, and wished him well in his new endeavors after leaving office.
The PS pledged to adopt an open-door policy, consult widely and gather ideas and feedback from staff to inform his managing of the important docket, for enhanced service delivery and overall achievement of the State Department’s mandate.
