On Tuesday 21st March 2023, Trade CS Moses Kuria co-chaired the inaugural council of the Kenya — United Kingdom Economic Partnership Agreement in London, following an earlier meeting of Senior Officials co-chaired by Trade PS Alfred K'Ombudo.
The UK — Kenya EPA is an important market for Kenya: Kenya exports more than £1.1B into UK, and it remains a key market for flowers, fruits and vegetables, tea, coffee and tourists. The UK is also one of Kenya’s foremost sources of investment .
The meeting reviewed progress under this Agreement including the UK’s ongoing support to investment stimulation, export development, and how to address observed challenges to accelerating overall trade between the two partners.
