Ms. Elizabeth Gathoni Miguda is a seasoned trade officer with extensive expertise spanning both internal and external trade matters. Throughout her distinguished career, she has played a pivotal role in the formulation of domestic trade policy and has been instrumental in shaping international trade frameworks through active participation in bilateral and regional negotiations. Her efforts have significantly strengthened Kenya’s bilateral trade relations, particularly with Europe.

In addition to her policy work, Ms. Miguda has successfully led Kenya’s trade, tourism, and investment promotion initiatives during her tenure as a Trade Attaché in the foreign service, advancing the country’s economic interests on the global stage.

Ms. Miguda holds a Master of Arts degree from the University of St. Andrews and a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of London. She has also undertaken specialized training in trade-related matters and leadership, including the Strategic Leadership Development Programme and the Senior Management Course. Her academic and professional background, coupled with her deep understanding of trade dynamics, positions her as a key asset in driving Kenya’s internal trade agenda.
