Trade Research and Policy Analysis

The functions of the department are: Conduct research and analysis on trade policy to inform trade policy decisions in the ministry; collect, collate, and analyze trade data; and disseminate research findings to relevant stakeholders; Develop and maintain research resources and databases on trade policies and related issues; Provide technical advisory services on multilateral, bilateral, and regional trade matters to the State Department of Trade and relevant stakeholders; Coordinate the implementation of trade policies developed by the Department of Research and Policy Analysis; and analyze the effects of implementing trade-related policies.
